DFS Direct (Dell Financial Services) sell off-lease computers with short warranties...

might be worth looking at.

Mike's Computers in Abbotsford has used/off-lease stuff from time to time.

open box sells demo units, so they're just barely used.

Futureshop and Bestbuy both have refurbished units in their online stores.

Gotta be careful about auctions - people overpay for computers all the time because they don't have the first fucking clue about computer tech, and because the constantly advancing technology means "value" of even a six-month-old machine is greatly diminished. They assume they're always getting a deal, because it's an auction, and can very quickly bid computers up over their actual value.

You might also want to try companies like "computer for schools" they take broken systems and part out to make working systems and sell to schools.
