Buying a Car Deck from FS/BB

Anyone know how much car audio installation would cost at Futureshop or Bestbuy if I purchase a deck from them?

Check out a sponsor! Not worth the labor at FS or BB.

You are kinda close. They charge $17.00 for a standard harness & $30.00 for a standard kit. They have a $100.00 an hour fee for installation labour.

RS sponsors charge less & give better service.

^^^Truth.

When you deal with smaller places, you get better service, talk directly to the guy who installed your gear and don't get the runaround from the guy at the front desk.

Even if I had to use a GC from a big box store, I'd still get the install done at a local shop.

check out a site sponsor for sure

the only good thing i see in BB install is that they offer free installation of your OEM deck.

Follow the instructions on the box. It is super easy. If you can't, go to a local mechanic to get it done for a portion of the price compared to FS, BB and Visions

BB/FS' prices don't include the parts. If you do go through them just buy the parts off eBay lol, BB had my bracket/faceplate for sale for $130... Harnesses and stuff were $50 off them. I got the entire bundle bracket/faceplate/harnesses off eBay for $70 shipped.

As for labor prices, it depends on the car. BB/FS have a flat rate for installation iirc, and depending on the car the local shops around here might charge around the same price

We've had countless amounts of people come to us after they have gotten a quote from the big box boys. Not only are we less expensive, we do a better job, provide a lifetime warranty and we can usually book you in the same day or following day - not two or three weeks down the road. Support your local retailers and independents!

The difference is night and day. People really need to go see an RS sponser before deciding to have a big box store do their install.

Guaranteed within the first min of talking to them, you'll see why the choice is clear. You really owe it to yourself to at least go see them :)
