While you may not think the public should care, I think they have every right to. Police officers are paid on the taxpayer dime and were using taxpayer funded computers. As professionals they have to present a certain image. It says specifically on the VPD website that potential hires should have excellent character so it was an expectation from the start that they are held to a much higher standard. All that really matters though is that these actions are against the force's official use policy, which pretty much EVERY big/reputable company I know has in place. Totally unprofessional conduct in this case.

maybe im desensitized, but almost every damn site out there right now, including ours, has some sort of adult content. you cant even go onto facebook without seeing some ad pop up that could be taken in as adult content.

i could care less if cops are view this stuff, so long as its not taking away from their job duties. i dont expect anyone to be 110% focused on their job all the time.

talk about wasting tax dollars? where you think money is gonna come from to investigate this? less is wasted letting them do something so minute as surfing porn than wasting more money on an "investigation"

bet anything, the money loss on those 15 being investigated from surfing porn is gonna cost less than money spent on the investigation on the 15 surfing porn
