Can you post a video starting from even 5 seconds earlier?

:rukidding:

Yes, let's go ahead and blame everyone (even the intersection, that mother fucker!) instead of ourselves.

Ask the guy how much money he wants to settle this w/o insurance.
Anything under 1-1.5k, I'd just pay him out of pocket

FYI:
I was rear-ended by someone a few weeks ago... (i am on a 09 BMW 335i)
The impact speed was less than your vid...my bumper had a small crest line and two screw holes indentation.

Brought the car to a BMW bodyshop and they quote me $2900 to replace the bummer because the crestline can't be properly repainted...

UPDATE: for anyone who cares..

The guy claimed injuries 3 days after the accident, I emailed the adjuster the video and They decided to do a low velocity investigation fast forward 4 weeks to today I got a call saying that because of the video evidence they rejected his injury and she said that she would give me a call within 2 days to tell me what the cost of the repairs are if I decide to pay for the damages myself and the cost if I go through insurance.

Thanks for the support and sharing your experiences! :megusta:

Sigh I'm in the exact same shoes. Rear ended someone at low speed, only some scuffs to their bumper. I was planning to pay it off through icbc but received a phone call 2 nights ago that she was claiming for injury. I stopped and slid into her nearly the same way as the video the op posted.

I have no video proof but am wondering what are the odds of icbc rejecting their claim of injury? I am seeing an estimator on monday.

ICBC will get their own medical report from a doctor they trust... they'll also inspect the cars for damage that would indicate whether you hit hard enough to cause injury or not.

Believe it or not, they do have a slight idea what they're doing - this sort of thing happens a lot.
