Bridgeport station drop off area?!?

Hey guys,

Recently I've been dropping off or picking up my GF at Bridgeport skytrain station and I always go up to the 4th floor in the parkade so it's close for pickup and drop off. Kinda worried I'm gonna get a parking ticket for just sitting there while I'm waiting for her though. I think I saw some guy walking around, writing plate numbers down... I tried searching but I honestly have no clue where I'm actually supposed to be going for drop off. Anyone on here know?

Cheers,

Brian

i think you should be at that area right beside the entrance to the parkade on great canadian way. there's a little stopping area just enough for 2-3 cars right between the stop light for the bus loop and the parkade entrance.

What I usually do is have my parents wait for me between the parkade and the casino on the ground floor when I need to be picked up.

^thats where I'd always drop off or pick up, just past the parkade entrance and before the exit from the station. Theres a little recessed part that can fit about two cars. I can't remember if the sign there said no parking/stopping or whatever, but it worked for me. Was never more than a minute or two waiting though, not sure how long you usually sit and wait for.

Dang... I had no idea you were allowed to drive into there. I'll give that a shot next time.

The sign says "Loading zone" or something like that.

Whenever I wait for someone/someone waits for me inside the parkade, I'm usually lucky enough to find that one of the "small car" spots adjacent to the bridge is empty and I'll back into there. If I recall, there are 4 of them. The rest are big handicap spots.

Just a slight thread-jack (hope you don't mind, OP) since no one answered in the "Official No Need To Start a New Thread" thread, does anyone know if the gravel lot directly next/west of the park and ride parkade is open to the public?

^i heard from a friend its open, but i would also like to know

i usually go through the bridge inside->take the elevator down-> end up at the back side where the hotel is. there's a lot of parking along the sidewalk where you could park for a few minutes without getting fined

I wait by where the green car is in this link by the railroad track on Charles St. There's usually nobody there and you just park on the side.

1. i hate ppl who park in the area that "fits just a few cars" because those cars should be moving . multiple accidents have halpened there and it completely disrupts traffic of ppl who actually pay money and need to get in or out. those clais who park there shud know that those of us trying to drive thru think ur jerkoffs
2. u wont get a ticket parking inside. turn ur car on if u see the guy. or park further away from the casino. or park on the casino sode where ur not disrupting traffic
3. ppl park on the gravel area but just because its not enforced. they could ticket u at any time if they chose to one day enforce it

bridgeport is one of those places in richmond that makes u realize how cheap and in considerate richmond drivers are
