Problems with Compustar remote

Had my RF-2W9000-SS professionall installed around christmas time and everything was great but now I noticed that the 2way remote doesn't communicate properly with the car.
Nothing has changed and I park my truck in direct view from my condo.

In the begining, the remote would chirp and light up like usual but now the screen goes blank with the US-S or maybe U5-5 code where the time is.
I can hit button 4 to query and the car will chirp but the remote does not respond.

I can be standing next to the car and unarm the car and the remote does not chirp but the car is unarmed.
Same thing with remote start.

I haven't checked the battery on the remote yet. But could there be any other reasons that the remote is not chirping? What is the likelyhood that the remote is faulty?

It sounds like a faulty remote. Bring both of your remotes in for service.

Thanks guys.
I changed the battery and so far it seems like it is working normally again. I'll keep an eye on it and if it starts acting up again, I'll take them in for service.

Thanks.
