how much for lower control arm replace? suggest shops?

i there, i have a 2002 Merc Benz C240. the problem with my car is the wheels are shaking when i turning the steering. I took the car to Kal tire and let they have a check. They told me is the lower control arm problem, had to replace it.

the quote they gave me is :

2 lower control arm $254 each
2 hour labor $109 per hour
4-wheel alignment $109

it comes to $870 in total. This is quit expensive for me , i am still a student. Can anyone suggest me another repair shop to go to? Or any other suggestion with my case? thanks

The part price cost is a bit high (however reasonable if they are real MB parts not just OEM replacements) but the rest of cost, labour / alignment sounds fair.

If you are a long time Mercedes customer at a dealer.. you usually get a discount if you ask your service advisor nicely. So shop around.

Student or not, you are the owner of the car, so you have to pay the price for maintenance, or just use your UPass.
