Unacceptable customer service exp. from Rogers Call Center

the below is the conversation I had with the Rogers Call Center Customer Service Rep.

Me: Hi, I wanna ask how much would that be if I have exceeded 100mB of data from my plan.
C.S.: Ok Let me check...(on hold for 15 mins). It's $0.35 for 100kB
Me: r u sure about it?
C.S.: O No, it should be $0.35 for 1000kB
Me: r u sure? r u new?
C.S.: Yes mom, I'm fairly new
Me: Would that be possible if I can speak to some other one else or your manager cos. I need to know an accurate information.
C.S.: Sorry mom, I'm afraid I can't put u through to another rep or my manager since everyone is busy.
Me: ok, then pls check it for me
(On hold for another 15 mins)
C.S.: Mom, it's $0.50 per 1mB.
Me: r u sure? it's gonna be $50 for 100mB. It's even more expensive than data roaming or long distance charge
C.S.: o ya, it's kinda impossible
Me: ya it's ridiculous, can u check again?
(On hold for another 10 mins then line got cut off by him)

CAN I COMPLAIN?:heckno:

Do you know how much turn-over those call-centers have? Fuck man, I'd say 50% of the people working there haven't been there for over 3 months. It especially sucks when you get pushed to a call-center in India and have no idea wtf is going on due to the language barriers.

What exactly do you want to complain about? Someone not knowing something about your rate plan? It takes a long time to learn all that shit (Worked in one here back in the day)

EDIt--> Rogers website is pretty informative....you know, for self research.

:suspicious: Why is he calling you mom?

iris1112 02-25-2012 02:34 PM

I tried to check the website, unfortunately I couldn't find any informations there. Anyways, I have just called Rogers again n spoke to the Cancellation Department.
It's actually $0.05 for each mb.. so that guy gave me a x10 answer ($0.50)

You didn't seriously think ma'am as MOM!?! LOL this should be in the fucked up shit that makes me laugh thread!

Here is what I did to figure out the solution to YOUR problem. I went to Google and typed in "Rogers Extra Data Use" and found one the first page:

http://www.rogers.com/web/content/wi...roducts/addons

From that page, I learned:
$10/month for 100MB1
Additional data: $0.15/MB

Took about a minute to two minutes to figure that out. The only time I call 611 is when I need to make an account change. Other than that, most of the information I need can be found easier and efficiently online efficiently.

Hope this helps mom.

After reading your conversation again, I think there may also have been a language/communication barrier that may have confused things for both parties. LOL

iris1112 02-25-2012 03:28 PM

LOLS...ur research answer is not right

According to the second rep., it's $0.05 per mB...

My research is right. Did you even look at it?

It clearly shows that tere are 2 different prices depending on what data plan you are on.

The $0.05 price is if you're on a $25/500MB plan. You said you went over your 100 MB plan...

Then again, your broken engrish might have mislead me into thinking that you have gone over your 100mb plan. Did you mean you went 100mb over your data plan?

Either way, that page I linked you to gives you ALL the information. I can't believe you wasted your time again to call and find out.

The one you quoted is the "Pay As You Go" rate (which may be correct too since OP never mentioned which plan she's on.)

Assuming the OP has the $10/month 100 MB data add-on on a monthly plan. Additional data is $5/100MB (which is what the second rep told her).

Nonetheless, both of these prices can be found on Rogers' website within 2 minutes.

if your still confused from the website, go to a store!!!
