which adhesive or glue to repair interior plastic parts?

I broke a plastic button/flap that opens up my center console compartment. To replace this, I would have to order the entire center console piece which costs 300 dollars. My car is a limited edition, so it is hard to find replacement parts.

DO you guys know of any glue that are best to form a strong bond on plastic pieces? This piece is a release button that lock the center console door into place.

It looks kinda like this http://www.p38spares.co.uk/commerce_...itch_panel.jpg

It is the middle flap along the bottom edge of the whole panel.

I am willing to try something from homedepot or crappytires, as long as it works.

JBweld,it can be found almost anywhere, get the quick harding stuff.

Or you can try superglue.

If you can get a hold of it, Wurth Klebfix. This stuff is amazing we have it at our shop.

It looks like it's ABS plastic, some ABS pipe cement from the plumbing dept of the hardware store will work.
Test on a concealed portion first, see if the glue melts the plastic.

Welding is a better option if practicable

superglue just crystallizes and breaks again when I press down on the plastic.

is this jbweld a type of glue? Apply by hand?

Isn't JB Weld for joining metal parts? I vote for melting it or some sort of 2 part epoxy.

I have used JBweld on almost every type of material, works really well.JBweld is a 2 part mix,it's like a paste. It's alot stronger than epoxy when it cures.

I even used it one time to fix a friends cracked radiator cause he was too cheap to buy a new one.

jb weld works great on plastic. only thing is it dries more rigid whereas an epoxy might be a bit more flexible. depends on the application.
