Deciding Between 2 Different Tires

Hello All,

I am eagerly waiting to put on my summer wheels but I need to install new tires before I do that! I'm having a hard time deciding which of the following tires to get.

I'm not driving an 09' Audi A4 Quattro and my previous tires were 235/35/19. They were generic Diamondback Tires.

The two tires I'm looking at right now are:

Pirelli P-Zero Rosso (255/35/19)

Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Tire Reviews (80 Reviews)

VS

Toyo Proxes 4 (235/35/19)

Toyo Proxes 4 Tire Reviews (662 Reviews)

Both tires have mixed reviews, although it seems I have a better chance of being able to use the Toyo's all year round than I do with the Pirelli's.

The Pirelli's also have a better tread wear rating but tread wear seems to be the number 1 complaint with those particular tires.

Any benefits of me running a 255/35/19 tire over a 235/35/19?

Thanks in advance.

I can't write from first hand experience on the tires but as far as going from 235/35/19 to 255/35/19:

-20mm wider
-overall diameter will be 14mm taller
-sidewall height (profile) will be 7mm "thicker"

You're going to raise the gear ratio a bit so it'll probably feel a bit slower off the line but increase your top speed and your speedo will read 2% slower. The bigger tire will look more ballooned compared to the 235. The ride will be a bit better but the handling response won't (marginal differences).
