Descriptions of the 46mm Filer Kit

New 46mm 3 Piece Filter Kit (UV-CPL-FLD)

Works with any lens with a 46mm filter thread; manual or autofocus, digital or film.

Made of glass and aluminum metal. Multicoated lens for maximum transparency. Includes handy protective storage pouch.

UV filters reduce haze and improve contrast by minimizing the amount of ultraviolet (UV) light. Especially useful in areas of high altitude or snow, eliminating the undesirable blue cast.

CPL filters (Circular Polarizer) are great for removing unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass or water. Take richer scenic shots and notice improved clarity in distant objects by cutting through haze and increasing color saturation. This filter is mounted on a rotating frame allowing the user to determine the desired amount of reflection to be removed by simply rotating the filter.

FLD filters allow for shooting under fluorescent lighting. Bring warm natural lighting to rooms that would otherwise be washed out by unappealing fluorescent lights.
These filters are double threaded allowing additional filters to be mounted one over the other.

Filters serve as a great and inexpensive lens protector. Use one at all times to
protect your delicate lens from dirt, scratches and accidental damage. Better to scratch or break a UV filter than an expensive lens.
