Thanks for the price list bud. Thank'd ya

Drove by today and it was packed on the streets. Some guy with bright green vest was talking to each waiting driver.

Quick question from who actually got their car washed, although it says exterior hand wash, do they use rags/wash cloth or wash brooms like other places? Cheers!

tofu1413 03-18-2012 08:51 PM

exterior:

brush for wheels. small hand brush.

soaped car and used a sponge by hand.

dried by shammy by hand.

tire shined by pad with tire shine.

interior:

wiped by towels? white towels.
windows wiped by seperated towels and glass cleaner.
vaccuum trunk and carpets. rubber mats washed and air nozzled dry.

I deserved way too little thanks for posting this free service up.

Last time I posted for the free $50 gas card for test driving were way more

:alone:

Not sure if I should share any more

I'll be honest. The words "Free Car Wash" scare me. No thank you.

But glad to see others were able to take advantage of it and provide reviews.

cho 03-18-2012 09:10 PM

How long does it take normally?

forgot to mention: there was also a line that rinsed the underbody... right before you went into wash bay.

They used a microfiber mitt or some kind of mitt instead of small brush for my cars rims.

CP.AR 03-18-2012 10:20 PM

yup... it was a wool? sheepskin? mitt

Gumby 03-18-2012 10:43 PM

Damn - I should check RS more often on the weekend. My car's in need of a wash & vacuum!

Mine wasn't. It was only smacked out and vacuumed. I didn't notice the cars infront of mine's being washed either.

My car seems to be a lot dirtier the day after a wash versus when I wash it myself. Maybe it was their equipment, but there was a hell of a lot of streak marks.

They did some cars. The AMG ahead of me got the trunk vacuumed but not mine!

d1 03-19-2012 03:12 PM

The wait was too long so I ended up with a free wash voucher instead of a free wash. Oh well, better than nothing.

they are offering half price today.

I know is a marketing idea to get those japanese girls to hold the sign, but I kinda feel sorry for them to be standing there for hours!

I went today and my car was well cleaned.

red_2 03-19-2012 04:56 PM

Just got back from there.

Great service and overall did a good job washing. I'd give them 8/10

Would return, I like it alot better than the place near Superstore.

NiceRicer 03-19-2012 08:02 PM

Does anyone know if they are still offering half price tomorrow? Would like to give this place a try.

Hey guys, I'm the one working at Sensha-ya who was chatting with you RS guys. I've been meaning to join RS quite awhile ago, as I've been lurking the forums for almost a year now, never got around to doing so until now ^^. I guess I might as well do a brief intro about myself here. I'm an active member of Element Owner's Club and Sportscarforums under the username Kaoss. Currently traveling from White Rock to work almost on a daily basis. As an automotive enthusiast I love being able to come into contact with so many different vehicles and chat with other enthusiasts who drop by. It's really a great experience.

Being somewhat of a perfectionist myself, I'm more suited for working at an auto detailing location instead of a car wash, although Sensha-ya will be providing detailing in the future, ETA unknown. I'd be happy to answer any of your questions regarding Sensha-ya, as I'm essentially the unofficial Sensha-ya RS spokesperson in this thread lol.

Other than the fact that I work at a car wash, I'm glad to finally be a part of the community. I wonder if I'm the only guy on RS with an Element...

I hope everyone that got the free wash left a good tip.

That being said, will consider taking my car down there next week if I'm in Richmond and weather is nice :accepted:
