is my BB dead?
 

I had my BB for about 2 years now, I noticed that my life of my battery lasts for the day as usually get a day and a half without charging it. Now I need to charge it everyday and the battery lats for about 5 hours.

I recently bought a new battery and the same thing happens. What's wrong with my phone? time for a new one?

any thoughts that I'm missing?

first of all, maybe it's your useage, if you use all the apps, it will kill your battery. You know what's a good way to test your bbm if it's functioning properly, put in your mom's SIM card in it. She probably doesn't have data, doesn't have games, doesn't have any wifi shit. you will soon realize your battery can last up to 4 days per charge.

I did that when I was aboard in Asia, no data and my phone lasts forever. It's my 400+ emails a day, opening tons of apps that kills the battery and draining it.

My sister had a problem similar to yours, except hers was a defect. I don't know what RIM fixed when Fido sent her phone in....but it was clearly the phone.

when she first got the phone, her phone would last her a day or two. After about 2 months of owning the phone, her battery was draining a lot faster. After the repair, it was back to normal, same phone.

"diagnostics" issue...fido said.
