StylinRed 03-27-2012 07:14 PM

just read

Bay isn't directing he's just producing it

so those fearing a Bay type film it likely wont turn out that way

Fuck. Yes. Now I want to watch that movie again lol

beanzzz 03-27-2012 10:13 PM

With the news of the turtles being aliens, I'm guessing Krang might play the villain in this one.

DanHibiki 03-28-2012 04:00 AM

"We're a family."

"A-a family? You can this here...and that down there......a family?"

european 03-28-2012 08:27 AM

ah man. The first three films were classic. I still have them on VHS! lol.
The scene with Vanilla Ice was funny in Secret of The Ooze.
"Go ninja, go ninja, GO!"

Shredder was pretty bad ass in that movie as well.

The original TMNT has aged very well.

Every time I watch this scene, I tear up a little.

StylinRed 03-29-2012 03:09 PM

yeah i had them on VHS too until the blurays came out then i donated them to the local hospital (they're still using vhs for the pre/post op waiting room)

one of the guys who plays raphael or something has a martial arts school up here (cant really recall a relative knows him)
someone who played one of the turtles is now a local anyway lol

CorneringArtist 03-30-2012 08:33 PM

I had Secret of the Ooze in VHS, and well, remembered this song

The decision to make them space aliens is probably so they can create more bad guys without having to say "Well, THIS animal came into contact with the ooze too!" for sequels, because Michael Bay can only think in terms of money and more movies = more money.

That part I don't have a problem with but he's inevitably going to fuck this up like he fucked up Transformers. Michael Bay doesn't give a shit about making good movies. He cares about making money...and he's damned good at that part.

Gumby 02-27-2013 09:30 AM

Interesting - I thought Megan Fox hated Michael Bay (with the way he treated her during the Transformers films). But hey, she needs the money...

i kinda liked the more simplistic designs of the first movie or cartoon. shredder has so much going on with his costume as well as the turtles.

oh well, i won't judge til i see it

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2014 03:10 PM

New turtles look fucken jacked to the gills

Mega Fox as April O'Neil? What the fucking fuck?

white rocket 01-31-2014 03:37 PM

Megan Fox

I'm surprised that they are considering this. Is TMNT still relevant in today's world? I mean I was a huge fan in the 90's but do kids nowadays even know TMNT? Is there still a following? Or are they hoping us 30-somethings jump on this?

I still have some Laird and Eastman TMNT comics from before they went all mainstream. Some of the fight scenes were crazy violent and bloody. I even still have all 4 training manuals for each of their weapons.

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2014 03:43 PM

90's nostalgia is getting popular now, as folks are hitting their 30's and have disposable income and their lives are miserable enough that they want to start reminiscing of the glory days :fuckthatshit:

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2014 03:51 PM

I have actually been trying to find info on an old PC DOS TMNT game I used to play. It's not one of those arcade games, or the Konami NES game.. it was a really weird game that I haven't seen since. I can't find it anywhere though! Maybe it was british or something hmm...

Edit: It may have been http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles:_Manhattan_Missions... Hmm
