How can I receive update of ICS on my HTC Raider

Hi to all

I am using an unlocked HTC raider and running Android 2.3.4. I have no idea how to root my phone and flash the ROM.

So I would like to know how can I upgrade to ICS ? Do I just need to use software update and download the updates ?

Please kindly advise.

It's announced the HTC Raider will be getting the ICS update so sit tight and wait until your carrier gets the update. Then go to ur phone and check for updates.

To force an update you just need to enter a few numbers in your dialpad. (Vivid is the Raider in other parts of the world)

A couple days ago, we heard about the availability of an Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC's Velocity in Australia. As the Velocity is the same hardware as the Vivid on AT&T in the States and the Raider on other networks around the globe, we've been hoping we might hear more about the update hitting some other carriers. Notifications may not be going out just yet, but with a little dialer magic, you might have some luck getting ICS on a Vivid today.

Right now, this is pretty hit-and-miss, with some users reporting success, and others not seeing anything happen. From your Vivid, dial *#*#682#*#* in order to force your phone to check for updates. With any luck, your phone will start looking for updates in just a matter of seconds.
