Towing Car My dad's 2010 Toyota needs to get towed to the dealership as its not drivable. Can't even start it up properly as the car just stalls and spits out a ton of fumes. I've never had to get a car towed before, so I don't know how the procedure works. He has Roadstar package with ICBC that covers towing, I believe. So I call the roadside assistance from Toyota and get them to tow it to Toyota dealership, and then I don't have to pay because I have insurance coverage?? I don't know how it works, but any comments would greatly be appreciated. |
i believe icbc roadstar towing has their own number to call |
Your dad should have a Roadstar card from ICBC.. call that and they will come and tow. Alternatively Toyota Roadside Assist should cover the tow too. Call either one. Quote:

i think how roadstar works is that you pay for the tow, go to autobroker and sign some kind of form, and send it out to icbc and they'll give you a refund |
lulz. just call bcaa, just pull the car out on the road and say it broke down. |

OP, just call 1-888-TOYOTA-8 24 hours a day, and they will tow your Dad's car to the nearest Toyota dealership within 50km. Your first 3 years is free. http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObje...300651e%2ehtml |
Thanks guys. I'll call the Toyota roadside since it's free. Hopefully it won't be an arm and leg to fix, damn car isn't even two years old yet :fuuuuu: |
I don't know if their policy changed but ICBC's Roadside Plus package included a reimbursement of $50/tow, up to twice a year. Mail the receipt to ICBC and they'll send you a cheque. |
Also call ahead to the Toyota dealer you want the car to take it to.. so give them a heads up. Quote:
