Actually, it's pretty random at times. I usually shift at around 2000-2500 to save gas. I never really noticed anything different from shifting at 3000 or higher. I'll check tomorrow. |
Where can I get myself a bottle of GM Synchromesh? I thought they discontinued it... How often do you guys change your MTF? |

^ Correct. It's simply branded as AC Delco. I'm not sure how much it goes for these days (it's been a long time since I bought it) but I recall buying it at the Dueck GM Dealership on Terminal Avenue a long time ago. They had the best price compared to Lordco. Call and ask for the price before going though! |
a little update. 2 weeks ago, i swapped my Acura MTF out for some GM Syncromesh Friction modified. the car ran better when shifting and had some grinds here and there but eventually wen away. Now i swapped that out and now running some AMSOIL. i guess it takes awhile to settle cuz its grinding a bit. im also using a magnetic drain bolt which should help a bit. |
