jus sayin'... new QNX BB10's have my attention

lrn2swype. qwerty is old tech.

Honestly, I've had so many issues with Whatsapp that I stop using it to initiate a conversation. I can't count the number of times where I'd be having a conversation with someone, and then they stop messaging me, and then I get the messages they sent the next day (with the time stamp from the day before).

If there's an important message, I always email or text now.

I don't get the appeal of Blackberries. They're barely smartphones.

Were you using a Blackberry? Because my friends and I chat with Whatsapp all the time on our iPhones and Androids.

Are you with Telus or Bell?

Kassian9 04-02-2012 01:07 AM

They should have adopted Android and Integrated the PIN concept into it still keeping them unique

lgman 04-02-2012 05:10 AM

No, it doesn't.

And no, Swype is not a viable alternative to a full QWERTY keyboard.

Whatsapp, Swype.. they're not even comparable. I carry both an Android and a Blackberry and use all of these things you mentioned on a daily basis.

I keep flip flopping between my android and my berry.

Keyboard is awesome, having most of the abilities of my computer is also awesome. Can't decide between the two.

And yeah, watsapp on the berry definitely sucks. Constantly lagging out whereas when I'm on the 'droid talking to iphone/droid users its instantaneous.

thats odd, dont have that problem with my bb9900.

7seven 04-04-2012 01:16 PM

All this X phone sucks and Y phone is awesome is really silly. At the end of the day it comes down to what phone suits your needs better, everyone has different needs and importance of features available on a phone.

If you use your cell mostly for responding to messages (emails/text/IM), encryption or are more comfortable on a physical keyboard then Berrys are awesome and better than Droid/Iphones. If you use your cell for heavy web surfing, apps, games and like touch screens, then Droid/Iphones are awesome better than Berrys.

It seems these days, if you want to start an argument, just bring up cell phones instead of politics or religion.

Completely disagree...I don't find a berry to be better at all for texting and e-mailing...

trancehead 04-04-2012 01:38 PM

im indifferent between brands
but im sick of clueless minds raving about how the iphone is the next jesus on a golden chariot
then you get those people who cant socialize if a gun was pointed to there head without whipping out their phone
