$7.95 for a shot of Russian standard vodka and that's all I can remember from the menu haha

so how was the experience? worth going back?

Looking at their Whisky menu, is Macallan not popular in Van? I assumed it would be on every menu

i only have one question: are there any girls worth picking up at 0755?

you'll prob run into some "Pk" (poke gai) honger girls who drink and go to C-daus everyday (ones with no life) :heckno: (the ones with heavy make up who date older guys and give you the "i'm so popular" additude") typical richmond/Vancouver gangster wanabe girls :heckno:

dyan 04-02-2012 02:30 PM

:lawl: C- daus... you'd be surprised how many richmond hongers go to those.

OT: 0755 is not so great from my experience. Pricey drinks, below average food. shitty service.

Manic! 04-02-2012 03:13 PM

OK who actually listens to soft jazz?

No joke bro :troll:

Its true, these girls (18-26) like to hang out with older (30+) douchebags. These are the girls u'll find at cdaus and lounges on weekdays drinking and chilling cause they got no life :lawl:

I do occasionally...i like to sit on my sofa have nice glass of wine and put on lounge or jazz on the xm.

I wouldn't do it every day though..but once every few weeks.

Mr.Ping 04-03-2012 10:21 AM

I went to Chop Lounge..attach to a hotel in Richmond...great lights and mood..horribly loud music and too much tv

Mr.Ping 04-03-2012 10:22 AM

I would settle for any place without loud drunken idijits, loud music, loud tv..or a lot of tv.

rageguy 04-03-2012 10:59 AM

Then 0755 with the supposedly older crowd, quieter music may cater to you.

Can anyone shed some light on this lounge?

Went there last week.

The decor is pretty modern and ballin', almost too much though. The DJ booth background looks like it was designed by Skrillex. Feels like I'm in a space ship.
There's a ginormous projector screen and tons of TV if that's what you're feeling but I suspect it's not what the OP was looking for...

Drinks are hella expensive, $7 for a Kokanee and $13 for a cocktail that I couldn't taste any alcohol. :rukidding:

Food was even worse. $16 for the smallest plate of bland-tasting pasta I've ever seen in my life and $13 for braised pork that was salty as hell.
$12 for pork gyozas ... :fuckthatshit:

I overheard the waitress say that on the weekend you need to drop $800 deposit if you want to book a party of 10. What is this Vegas?
:seriously:

My friend went there on the weekend and it was filled with mainland China kids trying to impress, popping bottles of Dom lol ...

My bill was $81 for 2 people and I left starving ... went to Deer Garden after lol ...
I wanted to like this place ... but I don't think I'll be going back ...

Obsideon 04-03-2012 04:02 PM

I heard the owner is some filthy rich dude from China, he dropped millions on this place and took 2 years to renovate.
Thick marble slab tables, big white soft leather couches, personal booths on the 2nd floor, etc ...
The servers were friendly but you could tell they were pretty new.
The Koi pond thingy at the washroom entrance was neat hehe I wonder where to get that ...

Brianrietta 04-03-2012 04:22 PM

I haven't been to Bacchus at the Wedgewood in a while but I think it might fit the bill. Speaking of the bill, bring plenty of money. Probably one of my favorite places in Vancouver though.

Obsideon 04-03-2012 11:14 PM

I went on Tuesday so it was pretty slow, a couple other tables and 1 big party of gangster looking people ordering shots. I'm curious to see how it is on the weekends.

Is that the one formerly known as Lulu Island?

Obsideon 04-07-2012 10:31 PM

Nope, Lulu Island is now Jang Mo Jib Korean BBQ (they have chains on Robson and Kingsway)

7 Lounge is a Kareoke lounge so it's not that quiet either. Atmosphere is nice, it's kind of an upscale "pek cheung" though. It's behind what used to be Golden Award (now Silver Tower), same parking lot with Matsuyama ... I can't recall what that exact location used to be though.
