Im not a vpd recruiter but they are my employer so I would think my number is pretty accurate. I also think this is public knowledge, but the city has allocated funding to hiring a few more cops over the years as well. French would definitely be an asset as well as any other language (just thinking about communicating with a pd in quebec makes me cringe), but its not a necessity for the west coast. As stated, maybe more critical for the rcmp. Team sports help (shows you can function as a team member) as well as life experiences such as travelling. |
