Applying for US VISA
 

Hi, I'm trying to apply for a visitor VISA for my gf to the states for a day or 2 of shopping/sight seeing.
Unfortunately this is all new to me and I have no clue where to start or what to do.
I tried googling "apply US VISA VANCOUVER" and i was able to find a phone number. Took me several days to get through their phone lines, and all they've told me is to go on the website to apply..
As i was applying, its asking me stupid stupid questions like, where are you staying, list the address of where you will be staying.. (srsly? im not going for over night,...... but i somehow have to fill it in?)
Also, it asks me who i know as a contact person in the US.. (wtf? i dont know anybody, and then what?)

any help is appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something here but why are you looking for a day visa for the US? What's her citizenship?

Make sure you are applying for a b1/b2 visa, otherwise just write none. Check if your gf is from a ESTA country, if so you can save much hassle. Your gf will probably have to go in for a interview and they can ask you more stuff there

It's fuckin cold and windy there like 24/7/365 and i had to wait a bit over hour and a half. Then you get into the building and wait another hour or so. Then go up to the 20th floor or something and wait another solid 45 mins minimum.

Not a very fun experience.

I hope shes worth all of this hassle
