Tutor Referral

Hai guiz,

Finals are coming up pretty soon for me and I REALLY wanna murder my math final. Right now its really the only thing standing in the way of me getting into my follow up program.

I know at some point some of you must have hired or at least caught wind of a great tutor, so I'm looking for some referrals here.

I need someone who REALLY knows how to explain things, and even more specifically, someone who knows math 12 inside and out.

Being a student I dont have alot of money, so it would be a huge plus if they didnt charge the rate of a lawyer. I've looked around BCIT's billboards but havent seen much but the same few flyers.

Any help is appreciated :)

Well for me, my friend just recommended me to a a place on 1st avenue and renfrew i think it was.. Alpha tutoring?

He said it was $33/ 1.5 hours. so that's not that bad.. but this is for calculus.

If you do end up going, ask for anson.

Not really racist! 04-05-2012 09:29 PM

I've got a perfect tutor in mind for you; I'll PM you when I find the number lol

He charges $20/h if he didn't change his rates

Yeah I've been there at some point in my life and have gone through quite a number of different tutors there. I have to agree, anson's probably the best tutor there...

I do some math tutoring on the side (currently in final year doing math minor @ SFU.. consistent A's and B's with all math courses). $25/hr (minimum 1 hour), can come to you (as long as you're in lower mainland...lol). Currently tutoring for family friends doing math 11 and AP Calc 12. Just give me a heads up on what material is to be covered and I can refresh my memory. However I'm not available next 2 weeks due to my own finals, but I'm assuming since it's math 12 that the final is in June?

If you're interested, just send me a PM and we can go from there.

OT but.If you're getting tutored for gr.12 math, assuming you're in gr. 12....you've been on revscene since you were in gr.4?:fulloffuck:

Its not math 12, its "applied technical mathematics" at BCIT at a grade 12 level, or at least thats what we were told
