Recommend me a plumber I have a leaky shower head that I'd like fixed and before I use google or yellow pages I was wondering if anyone on here knows a good plumber that services the Richmond area? |
DIY |
westrim plumbing. cousin works for them and i know at least he takes pride in his work. |
try urself first, u wont believe how easy certain things are to fix (internet for ur reference) |
Sounds like a worn rubber washer in the head... save yourself the $100 that a plumber will charge. |
Yeah, can you describe where it is leaking? |
Buy a new one from Homedepot or Costco and replace your shower head.. Good thing about costco is they accept returns no questions asked.. Your old head might just need some new teflon tape for a quick fix. Unless you are saying the actual pipes that go to the shower head is leaking then thats a different story. |
me :derp: |
Like seriously, this woman with her long finger nails can do it. |

Thanks for those that pmed me with recommendations! I actually don't think its the shower head because it leaks even when the water is off. So it must be the handle or a pipe somewhere. Will try to diy fix with a friend and it not I'll contact one of those people you recommended. |
Go to Rona, or even Canadian tire. Get these parts. Rubber Washer http://www.micromatic.com/images/3/300x300/753.jpg Teflon Tape http://image.made-in-china.com/4f0j0...eflon-Tape.jpg Replace the rubber washer. (Bring the old one with you to reference the size.) And apply the teflon tape on the threads. Going with Thread Direction. So Left to Right. Tighten until there aren't any leaks, and feel the penis grow another inch for being a man. If that doesn't work, watch this |
