is that wax residue?
Kt told me to use mr.clean magic eraser& it removed mine

I don't believe that's wax residue. It looks like plastic weathering. It can be repaired with I believe a 3M product? Not sure.

Peanut butter or meguairs panel restorer

Ch28Kid 04-11-2012 09:23 PM

It's wax residual.

Peanut butter?! And rube?

Supafly 04-12-2012 07:38 AM

Peanut butter is a temp fix....even a over the counter tire dressing would work as a temp fix. Those are just filling in the white with oils.

eShine Canada: Duragloss #481 WE (Wax Eraser)

Works for me

I've just used cleaners like a simple green or whatever and a short stiff bristle brush and scrub it with that. The car ideally would be wet while doing this, you don't want any of these cleaners drying up on your paint. Obviously try and not hit your paint with the brush when you do this. Oh and next time use some masking tape and tape off those areas before you polish.

worked pretty well for me too, can also use to to remove paint transfer

if degreaser and tire shine doesnt work, there is trim paint in a can you can spray. 3m makes it and we use it at work and bcit. gives it that matte and gritty finish

usually get left over wax by really bad detailers. any how, best way to remove it, is by using clay bar.

911fanatic 06-03-2012 08:30 AM

I wouldnt use a clay bar on porous plastic like the mirror casings as the clay itself will just become imbedded in the plastic. Clay is meant for smooth surfaces like glass or paint.
