fashionable camera bag harro. sorry for making a new thread but i want to get as many opinions as possible. basically i need a new camera bag. i usually just lug around my camera+walkaround lens or 50mm so nothing crazy.have a domke if i want to carry a lot of gear out. right now im using a billingham. nothing wrong with it but the square shape is really awkward and weird to match with clothes sometimes https://www.leicashop.com/catalog/im...ngham-bags.jpg -as cheap as possible -fashionable/casual looking or doesnt scream "im a camera bag" -black -small this is kinda big but i was thinking of getting a herschel backpack and putting inserts inside OR buy this, the hundreds bag which is $100 (a bit pricy i guess). http://nysohon.com/wp-content/upload...02-570x380.jpg before i buy it does anyone know of a cheap and casual looking bag? im not familiar with camera bags. thanks in advance |
Check out Artisan & Artist or Crumpler. |

I personally like Think Tank, but they're more corporate looking rather than fashionable. Camera Bags, Camera Cases, Digital Camera Bags - Think Tank Photo |
You can get a regular messenger bag and just get an insert to add padding and organization to the inside. |
if you're ever in HK or know someone there Pierre & Paul | Facebook I bought a $60 bag from there a year ago and used it everyday for everything, went halfway around the world with it and it's still going strong. |
that billingham bag is NICE!! mind sharing where you bought it? Thanks! |
Buy any bag and put inserts in it, not sure which billingham you have, but if you have any of the hadley's just take the insert out and put it in another bag. That is what I do. as for where to buy billlinghams: Billingham Shoulder Bags |
there isnt one u will always look like a nerd |
Always been a fan of this one from incase: Ari Marcopoulos Camera Bag for SLR Camera by Incase |

Kata 3N1 22 Sling Netbook Backpack : Broadway Camera, Your Specialty Camera Store in Vancouver, Canada Kata 3N1-20 Sling Backpack : Broadway Camera, Your Specialty Camera Store in Vancouver, Canada the second one is fairly enough for you to use.As long as you open the bag, you will see these bags are really functional. see the clip on youtube I know you like a fashionable camera bag. When the time pass by, you might get extra lens. So you definitely need to think your long term plan before you purchase a camera bag. For me, I'd rather to buy a bigger one than buying a fashionable one. |
I use a Kata 3-N-1 I agree that it's very practical, flash fits so easily on the top and will carry all the lenses you need in a reasonably casual looking bag. Only problem is a full bag is fucking heavy and bulky, I still prefer my crumpler 6 million dollar home for regular usage. Would never bring the kata out if I had to take transit. |
thanks for all the replies guys. out of all of the replies i think i like the ONA ones the most. http://www.onabags.com/media/catalog...on_black_l.jpg however, the price of the ONA bag is pretty hefty and one of the main selling points for me is a cheap price. :okay: but i think ill get the ONA one later down the road. perhaps i should have named the thread "casual or trendy camera bag". i have decided to go for the The Hundreds camera bag as it cheap and i kinda like it. im still pretty young and perhaps i never got any feedback on the hundreds bag because most of the revscene members are of an older audience and wouldnt wear something like that. for now i only want a cheap bag i can bring around on a daily basis. @yingyu_subaru. thanks for putting effort into that response. i do have a domke bag when i need to bring out a lot of gear. i usually store all my camera gear in that bag at home LOL. it can fit two camera bodies (if lenses arent mounted), 80-200 f2.8 , all around lens, 50mm, 16mm fisheye, 85mm and a flash. this pic shows what it can hold. but i probably have to find a new bag to replace it down the road because the sling bag does a lot of pain to my shoulder especially when im lugging around so much gear. http://www.jasonmwong.com/For%20Sale/domke_f-2.jpg thanks for all the responses guys. |

I've never been big on backpacks so I picked up one like this when I was first starting out: Digital Bag For Camera + Personal Day To Day Gear KT DB-453 - Shoulder Bags | Kata Bags It's Pretty cheap and it holds enough for me for a day trip or functions nicely as a carry on when I'm travelling. BUT!!! If you're into Herschel backpacks, you might want to consider this: Smoky Mountain http://fstopgear.com/images/stories/...ountain/1B.jpg |
I'm currently using a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home and it holds everything I use on a day trip. I love it more than any backpack/sling bag Ive used previously. 7 Million Dollar Home |
im using the Crumpler 5million and a Lowepro passport sling for everyday walk around. i like the Lowepro cuz its very casual. holds body and 1 or 2 additional lens, plus room for water bottle and light jacket. only downside is its not waterproof. check out B&H Photo Video Digital Cameras, Photography, Camcorders if u dont already know about them. |
