Cabin in the Woods (2012) Awesome horror flick!! (Mixed in with comedy etc.) It was totally not expected and in a good way too, came out really happy that I watched it! 9/10 for uniqueness and entertainment value! |

I loved it. Though I think it's more of an extremely dark comedy than a horror movie. But what else would you expect from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard? |

I liked it. It was somewhat intelligent and self-aware, unlike a lot of horror movies. |

it was a very clever movie. like others have said already, its more of a very dark comedy. i jumped so hard when the "CABIN IN THE WOODS" text popped up out of nowhere during the beginning. anyone else? |

I didn't like it at all. But then I've never been one for movies that are so abstract and random. The force fields and secret people controlling the place reminded me of Hunger Games lol |
it was a parody of cliche horror films more than anything. it marketed itself as a typical cheesy horror film, and when people were surprised to find out that it was more of a parody than anything. quite clever if you ask me |
