Where a good place to purchase New Rims

Looking for a nice pair of Deep Dish Rims for a g35 coupe

where are some good rim shops around town ?
or should i just order them online ?

dlo 04-15-2012 11:46 PM

Online at tirerack ftw

belaud 04-15-2012 11:46 PM

Ask a shop to order some good stuff in or go online and buy it yourself from places such as evasive, tire rack, etc. quality stuff like work meisters go for $800-1000 per wheel.

Tire wholesale/warehouse or something, on River Road. They're always busy when I drive by it.

Sorat is good.

If you're looking for imported branded try Designo

If you only buy rims, you won't have anything to mount your tires on. You'll need the barrel as well. Usually, you refer to these items as "wheels."

Thanks everyone for your help :)
i shall be going out to a few of these places this week / next

ilvtofu 04-17-2012 01:43 PM

Only a pair? That'll look like ass, Get a set of wheels

I just picked up a set of wheels on eBay. Usually not the best place to shop though as the sellers advertise at a premium. Discount tire has noticeably cheaper prices on their own site than eBay for example.
Btw You may be able to find a nice setup on rs classifieds for much less

Don't waste your time.. research what you want BEFORE you head out. Most places don't keep these things in stock. Narrow the list of what you want, then call.. then head out.

I'm looking for some 6 bolt light truck (small pickup) rims, just basic steel ones, for a friend. Any suggestions?? I think their budget is like 100 bucks for all 4.

Cheapest you can get new for a set of crawler rims is around $50-60 a wheel.

Actually, I have some 6 bolt 15x10's that came off an old Suburban. 6x5.5 I didn't use them because I think the center bore was too small..

If you don't want to go American, I believe 1010tires isn't bad either. Think Volco is a redistributer.

1. think the style you want in your car . ex : stance, flush, herrafrush, or stock look.
2. find the type of wheel you want.
3. find the correct specs/offset you want in that wheel to fit your style
4. search online by typing in the specs <--- total guess btw thats what i did LOL.
5. try other forums , cl , ebay, clubs, local shops. just google that shit :P
6. SPEND $$$$
