They did all that recent construction to add a left turn lane when they could have added a roundabout instead.

I think the eventual plan looks to be a light there. I don't think a roundabout would work with the volume of east/west traffic on 22nd. I only go through there to make the left turn south onto Slocan. If I'm going North on Slocan, I'm turning at 29th Ave, and making a left and continuing North down Renfrew.

The volume of traffic turning south up Slocan justifies the left turn lane, as previously, the left turners would hold up the westbound traffic.

I don't know why people insist on turning left northbound on Slocan there. if you're going north, you'd need to go down Nanaimo eventually when 22nd Ave ends there. You might as well turn at 29th Ave to get to Nanaimo and avoid 22nd.

Winner winner chicken dinner! You guys are pretty good with detective work it's a little scary and ppl ask why blur the plates when posting pics.... Cuz you creeps will find out everything about them.

Dumb bitch thinks it's clear to drive through the stop sign going northbound as their view is probably blocked by a SUV making a right off Slocan onto 22nd. So Audi T bones the bitch. Need a replacement suv now cuz it's probably a total loss, just waiting for icbc to tell me.

It just so happens that my son has bike camp at Renfrew Elementary this week and I was going through that area twice a day. The left turn lane without a traffic light was interesting and left a mark.

I wouldn't have known otherwise.

That intersection has been a complete shit show for like the last 10 years, and 22nd is more rutted than the moon. It's uncomfortable even in the X5. I'm sorry you have to go through that, a Q7 is going to be hard to replace unless you go for another one.... Or a X7.

Got the car tinted with Xpel Nano-Ceramic
Tinted everything except the windshield at 70%. On top of the factory tint, that brings it to around ~50% all around. Could really tell the difference afterwards the effectiveness of the heat rejection. Sorry for the bad pics, I don't know how to take glamour shots like Matsuda

I had 35% tint on both my IS300 front windows for years, drove one of them every day to work never got any heat… I think it depends on the car and running into a random loser cop with a chip on their shoulder.

It’s not legal in Calgary either, I had to rip the front tint off to register my Mercedes here (pass inspection) and I immediately got it re-tinted 2 days later lol… like half the cars I see around here have front tint.

Calgary even steps it up a notch on the fuckboi meter, I see it around and the kid who tinted my Merc confirmed to me that quite a few people tint their windshields!! The fuck idiocy is that lol

It's actually pretty light as far as tint goes. Here's a straight on picture

If there's light differential front and back you can get away with it easier. A lighter interior or a sunroof would help as well since it would appear lighter.

If JC had black seats it would seem a lot darker, but the red seats show through.

I put on 90% on the windshield too. If you're putting on ceramic for heat rejection all around but left the windshield then that sort of defeats the purpose.

Picked up the Acuity Short Shifter kit from Garage Five.
Really surprised how competitive their pricing is compared to a bunch of the Canadian online retailers I've shopped around at. Between the short shifter and the HKS exhaust I have on order, I've probably saved $900

Going to install this on the weekend

Did you order the HKS Legamax exhaust? that's the one I was considering

I did 20% for rear window tints and left the fronts stock

I went with the HKS Hi power

Was considering the Apexi N1, but the price for the HKS was substantially cheaper. $2500

OMG HKS Hi Power.. Apexi N1

Reminds me of the early 2000's

So super loud it is.... lol

Though I have heard neither, but gut feeling is that HKS is much quieter than the N1 lolol (at least that's how it went in the early 2000s Nissan vehicles hahaha)
