Flight Accident Insurance

Purchased a flight/hotel through allegiant, but forgot to purchase the flight accident insurance cover. I talked with them, they say, cannot add it once its bought.

My work group benefit covers it, however, I just found out, I am not activated yet. If I activate it now, it will take at least 2 weeks. My flight is in a week

Anyone have a suggestion? Is there a flight accident insurance I can purchase from Banks or other insurance company?

Thanks

Albeit maybe too late, always pay for travel expenses with your credit card and see if your credit card offers flight accidental insurance and/or travel insurance.

Most major credit cards offer this now these days.

My TD First Class Visa covers just mine, but it doesn't cover my gf, which I just found out now.

Anyone heard of Travelex Travel Insurance protects travelers investments. ???

They have these option

Select Flight Accident Level

$300,000 (+ $17.00/pp)
$500,000 (+ $28.00/pp)
$1 Million (+ $56.00/pp)

RBC Insurance has only 1 option which is $28.00, with $100,000 Coverage

Did you buy Trip Insurance (including medical)?

Sometimes it is included (in good a good quality policy).

Might be worth joining BCAA if you're not a member already.

CAUTION - don't travel without a buying a health policy before your departure

...friend just came back from down South with a $5,000 health bill :OUCH:

^your friend didn't buy travel medical insurance?

Albeit, it's different, but Emergency Hospital & Medical insurance is definitely more important than Flight Accident. I don't purchase Flight Accident myself because I have sufficient life insurance coverage but I know lots of people that do buy it.

What is flight accident insurance? Is that like cancellation insurance? If it's to insure you in case the plane crashes I don't think you'll be needing it.

Medical Insurance and Emergency Hospital & Medical insurance is the same thing right?

And where would you purchase these? Never had to buy it before since work usually covered it when I was working there.
