Sweet! If it truly is so much cheaper, bring it on. That's so fast!

FerrariEnzo 04-23-2012 07:18 AM

imagine the lineup!!! lol 6 people per tube.. even tho the cost is lower, you think they will charge you cheap.. haha....

SpartanAir 04-23-2012 07:40 AM

Ya you'd want to make sure you don't get in a collision though....say one malfunctions and stops, and another hits it at 6500 kmh? uhhh...

The_AK 04-23-2012 10:42 AM

would not want to get into an accident in that

I'd believe when they first started planning trains or airplanes, people had comments like these.

AzNightmare 04-23-2012 01:50 PM

I don't understand how is it cheaper. Won't it cost A LOT to make a tunnel system from one part of the world all the way to the other side??

PiuYi 04-23-2012 02:00 PM

how to build a tube across the pacific?..

Tim Budong 04-23-2012 02:46 PM

if only..
but come on..
is NMAtv really a reliable source haha

FerrariEnzo 04-23-2012 02:59 PM

they cant build it above water... the storms would tear that shit apart..

building underwater, lol think about it... sharks, whales, leaking...

k3mps 04-23-2012 03:17 PM

well if u been to a costco before, they insert cash to the tubes in their piping system, so it's a pretty neat concept for human transport to a specific location

don't forget about continental drift. it maybe only an inch or 2 a year, but i assume after the tube is built it'll be in use for a for a long while.

They talked about this idea several years ago on a discovery channel program "extreme engineering" I think the entire thing is on YouTube.
