Twitter message phone charge

I'm with Bell. Using a BB 9900. I have no msg plan.

Starting last month, I've been getting phantom Twitter SMS charge on my phone bill. My Twitter account doesn't even link to my phone. I don't even use my phone to check Twitter. I check Twitter like once a day.

The message appears on the bill with the frequency of 3-4 messages every minutes focusing on several particular days. I told the rep last month Idk wtf are they and he credited me back the charge ($20). The charge this month is nearly $800 and 95% of them are Twitter msg. My phone plan is 50 bucks a month. I've never got those things before.... I plan to call the rep in the morning and probably have this escalated.

I know many of you are tech wiz. Any clue wth is this?

Do you have a Twitter account? If so, go on to Twitter, settings, mobile. Get rid of your number.

I did last month when they charged me extra 20 bucks. No number on my account no nothing.

I even wiped my phone....

And I have zero SMS this month. Incoming or outgoing. I clicked on the phone's text message icon and it shows "No message"

Well, keep in mind, the charges are pro-rated. Wait and see how things go on your next bill.

Did you always have this phone number? Also, if you still have any of the Twitter messages, reply to it with the word "Stop" only.

The thing is I don't receive any message, as in I don't even see them on my phone. The only way I found out was through the phone bill at the end of the month.

Call them up about it, that's retarded $800 for Twitter sms messages? I'm guessing you aren't on a family plan cuz if you are maybe those charges weren't from you.

My tech wizardry suggests that you call Bell and inquire :)

I called and they credited me back the amount. I also asked them to block my future incoming messages.

I got random spam messages from before and they changed my number for me. But that was kinda gay cuz I had to tell everybody my new number.
