A) by the looks of that provincial doctors list, there are very few doctors that are making anywhere close to a million a year

B) a lump sum of a million dollars is much different than a salary of the same amount

Because I'm pretty sure I'm a bigger guy than somone named Daniel Chong, and with the amount of water I drink on a constant basis, if you put me in a cell right now I'd probably outlast most

That list is full of family practice doctors who are at the bottom of the medical pyramid. Specialists especially ones in the States can easily pull in that kind of money. If not in one, then in 2 years and it wouldn't take them that long either to save up 1 million.

Hypothetical situation or not, I don't think its a good idea to risk ones life over money. Five days may sound like an easy feat, but without water that long it could potentially be dangerous for anyone in that kind of situation. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to take the chance of damaging my organs even if I survived.

My organs take that risk every weekend

The thing that was pretty crazy was the fact that he may have been hand cuffed the whole time, he ate glass, he ingested MDMA, and the lights turned off so it was complete darkness in the cell.. That is pretty messed

Its reasonable for us to feel empathy for people who aren't suspected drug dealers being put into this system, and I'm not saying this man is guilty, but he was arrested in suspicion of a crime... and from what I can tell, he hasn't had the charges dropped.

I don't support a suspected drug dealer getting $20mil from a government agency that ultimately does more good than harm.


Also, common sense dictates you don't eat shit you find on the floor of a jail cell. Are the entrance requirements for UCSD so low that they accept people who think its reasonable to eat white powder you find on the ground?
