Probably only cost him $7.5K - in the US you can get a bail bondsman to put up the entire amount if you come up with 10%. Some courts in the US have also started to do this where they will directly accept 10% in cash in lieu of the full amount in security, eliminating the bondsman.
Maybe he'll run and then we can watch a bounty hunter bring him back in. That would make for some entertaining TV. | I always thought they lost upwards of 50% of the bail money and in some instances 100% even if they showed up to court.
I'm not sure where I read that from. But, I guess that wasn't true.
