Lease return, need paint scratch fixed I am returning a 5/yo Yaris lease next month and would like to have a scratch on the rear bumper fixed before hand. It's deep and all the way to the plastic. Anyone know a place that can do paint repairs without painting the whole bumper? I remember a car dealer (sold US and lease returns) near where I used to work always had a guy come in who would do minor bumper fixes but I don't remember what the name was. I'm going to go to a few boy shops tomorrow to see what they would charge but for obvious reasons I want to do this as cheap as possible. |
most body shops should be able to spot it while the bumper is on the car, if you tell them you want it done cheaply thats what they'll do. |
colorworks is mobile and they're pretty cheap. |
Thanks for the tips I'll make some calls tomorrow. |
+1 for Colorworks. We were in the same situation when my GF had to return her lease. The guy fixed a deep scuff on the corner of the bumper and one beside the license plate. No issues when we returned it. |
Just checked out their site. Definitely will check them out. For those that have used them, what to their prices range from? |
colorworks does some pretty good stuff. our dealership uses them all the time |
So I got a quote back. $299 for the rear bumper for just a blend job in the middle. This seems excessive as a full bumper repaint can be done for $300-$350. I will be looking for other options. |
