potted plants on patio

My girlfriend and I just bought a condo unit and it is on the ground floor. There is no fence in front of the building so my patio and sliding . We are allowed potted plants on our patio. We wanted to create a green fence for privacy. I was wondering what kind of plant or shrub I should buy to create this.

TIA

Costco and the garden shops will have a lot of these, what you need to know is how much light you get there and from roughly what hours when you go to these shops.

Thanks so much guess I will have to wait until we move in. We were looking at some short christmas tree looking plants, and the pots they were planted in didn't look like the were meant to be kept in there.

how about a few cedar tree plants and boom. there's your wall. I saw Extra Foods (gardening) sold them for about $16 each.
