FS: 1985 Merkur XR4Ti (it's a FORD with TURBO and RWD!) https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...43665333_n.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5Gd5H75...3401b41e3a.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5L15Ge5...ca0a3f1345.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5Kc5F95...3633231164.jpg Specs: Ford Merkur (think Mercury) XR4Ti 1985 black on black Front engine, Rear wheel drive inline 4 SOHC turbo shared with same year Mustang and Thunderbird Turbo models, making 170bhp at the crank. Independent front AND REAR suspension - because it's built in West Germany, and not a shed in Wisconsin. 2+2 seating. Goods: Turbo has been rebuilt some time in its life, runs strong aircared to 2013 Porsche 924 alloy wheels only 254k km 5 speed manual transmission, although it's a bit vague, it's smooth. Unknown vintage KYB shocks and SS brake lines. Must have been a race car in its previous life. Not a leaky interior. Power window and door locks all functional. Power steering Power assisted brakes Bads: Paint is done. Will need a full repaint to recover its former glory. Dash is cracked Do not have a working ignition key for the car, the key barrel has been taken apart it now starts with any flat head screw driver. With that said, the doors can't be locked with a key either. Generally tired and worthless interior. Bucket seats are great though. coolant expansion tank was patched, it works now but no guarantees years in the future. Blower motor went to hell and heater core bypassed due to a leaky neck. Asking $1300 obo. Great project car has plenty of potentials, easy drop in of the old Fox Body Mustang 5.0 motor for proper powerslides. It is a great budget track toy as it is. http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0002_large.jpg This is what it probably looked like when new. All paper signed and just looking for a new owner to give it the TLC it needs to relive its glorious BTCC days once again. ....Did I mention it has turbo?:ahwow: |
