I agree with you. Most people think I hated it because in my review I slam it hard. But honestly, I'm just really disappointed with it. The Bourne movies are definitely what this is trying to be, but since that's the case, just watch the Bourne movies again. In fact I think I will.

^I honestly wouldn't be vocal about it if it wasn't for the universal praise the film got.

Dude, Bourne Ultimatum... That's how you do action espionage, that's how you do bike chases and hand to hand, and most importantly that's how you do globetrotting. Fucking ride the train, don't just get shot off it.

just watched it..... wow I was sorely disappointed.... in all honesty its the worst of the Craig, Bond films for me and maybe even the worse Bond film....

The whole thing felt like it was a satire about Bond films, nothing really vibed and the rest was just cheesy

Javier Bardem was the coolest thing about the film but even he wasn't a 006 cool and his motive and actions weren't befitting of a Bond Villain imo

and the bond girl, hot, but it felt more like she was put in the film for the sake of having a chick in the movie her role was too short/unexplored etc

with all the time they had preparing the film (due to mgm budget issues/delays etc) i was expecting something good, at least on par, with the previous ones; instead i get crap

4/10 for me

More than 10..

There were 85 versions of James Bond's Tom Ford suit tailor-made for the opening chase sequence. Thirty were made for actor Daniel Craig and thirty for his double and stunt-double. Each version of the suit was made specifically for a particular scene of the opening sequence. For example, when Craig was riding the motor-bike, a suit with longer sleeves was worn so that it wouldn't raise up over his forearms. Costume Designer Jany Temime has said: "Each suit had three fittings, like a real traditional Saville Row suit. It was very high class tailoring. The first suit was mohair, very lightweight, woolen silk. The tuxedo is woolen silk. They were all [made of] beautiful fabric. He [would be] jumping and fighting, and then he would stand up, and the suit would be perfect." Moreover, Craig's tie had to be weighted for the motorbike section of the chase. The weight kept the tie from flying around when he rode at high speeds.

Maybe I'm the only one, but Daniel Craig is a great actor, but not a good bond for me.

A satisfying bond for me needs to be a tall dark hair suave dude. DC is a short blondy. Feels totally out of place IMO.

Well I did say 10+.

And this is the best shot of the DB5 in Skyfall I've found so far.

Just saw it in the cheap theater. Overall, really liked it. Some nice touches, some slick nods to "classic" Bond films, like the "old" theme music when they get in the DB5...

And I think those references were really well-used given that...

Will be REALLY interesting to see what they do with it from here.

The one thing I didn't like was that a lot of it seemed very wooden at the start... almost more like a director who didn't quite know what he wanted to do. Kinda odd, that. It picked up as we went along, though.

Oh, and the opening chase scene REALLY didn't measure up to some of the past ones. I mean, it'll be hard for anything, EVER, to top Casino Royale, but still...
