Any photographers? Need a Wedding photoshoot

I have a friend who's getting married on July 2nd. She needs a photographer to stay during the session for 3 hours and take some nice pics. She's on a pretty tight budget and can pay $300 for those 3 hours.

I have no idea about photography industry so I don't know how reasonable her rate is, but she's looking for someone with some experiences in the past.

If you're interested, please pm me and send me some pics and I'll forward them to her. It's even better if you have your own website with your portfolio so she can go through them.

Thanks

p.s. I'll be away on the long weekend so might not be able to reply.

$300 wont get you anything.

You're looking at $5k for a good package.

Well, $300 will get you a digital Camera that she can get a relative to take pics for her.

Don't under estimate the desperation of photography students. They'll do photo shoots for food as long as it adds to their portfolio. I'd love to help but all my wedding photographers are busy with other adventures.

$300? You're joking right? Well if you're looking for mediocre images and nothing professional, $300 might get you something.

If you want nice pictures from a quality person you are looking at 1k + for sure.

Yup, $300 won't get anyone experienced, not even close. 3 hours is only the time taking pics. What about travel, editing, album, video? Plus, she's looking when the day of is 5 weeks away? :nono:

She doesn't have to spend 5K but stll $300 is way off.

Yeah, $300 will get you a high school photography student at best. You're not taking into account the edit time afterwards.

Did she think wedding photographers just come take pictures and then hand you the SD card after?

Yeah. Minimum $1k. When I was looking we were looking between $1-3k. At $300 you might as well just ask all your friends attending the wedding to take pics. I'm sure they'll be some dslr's amongst them.

I charge 1500 for a days worth without video.. Video will be extra.

We can do it for cheaper if it's just 3 hours, PM me for details.
