If you are looking for deep low tight bass (the kind you find in the sony XB range of headphones) then you should seriously consider Sony's XB range of in ears. I own the XB20, XB40, XB41IP and they deliver (I had to buy Comply T400s to get a proper seal thou, stock single flange ones were rubbish for my ears). I believe you can easily walk into BB/FS to pick up the lower range XB20/XB21 for about 30-40 bucks. I bought a set of MEe m6p (seems like everyone and their dog thinks it very good/has tons of bass) and honestly, its not what people claim it to be. There is more bass than your average $20 sony/jvc/skullcandy/apple buds but does not even come close to satisfying bass cannon lovers/fans. Then again for ~$40 Shipped to my door, I can accept that it will not fair as well as a ~$100 MDR-XB41 |

Here's brief review: [REVIEW] MEElectronics SP51 & A151 I use the M11+ myself and it's enough bass for me. I also really like the type of cabling they use on their headphones and the shitloads of eartips and accessories they include. |
$100 max budget? Want massive bass? The Hippo VB bar none. $89 shipped (with free DAC) from jaben.net If you want to up your budget to something ridiculous, Sennheiser IE8 is apparently bass-heavy. Though I've never heard them myself, a friend has them and he actually dislikes that the IE8s pump out sooo much bass. Also, having owned the CX300ii for a while, I think it kinda sucks. The amount of bass it puts out does offset its lack of clarity compared to similarly priced IEMs (MeE M6 <3). It's not as durable as the M6 either. |
got ibeats by dre has a shit load of bass thats for sure...I'm going to try 50cents new in in ear headphones |
I'm checking out a lot of reviews... But don't understand what's high, mid, low, etc... And how much does dynamic mm driver factor in? Or is it some number that only means something on paper? M31 has 9mm Sp51 has 10mm Is that a lot of difference? |

RE: Atrio M5 - They are almost double his budget but yes, they are fairly universally known for their bass. Quote:

I like modding things though so I did it for fun. Easy to do... Took about eight minutes. I might settle for the SP51... Anyone know how does it compare with the m6p in bass? And is MEElectronics a new company? Can't find a wiki page on them. is there a cheaper place to order than from their official site? |
I had bother the klipsh s4i's and s2's. They sound almost the same if not the same imo. Great bass. I'm still using my s2's everyday and they're pretty undestructable.. Only headphones that ever lasted me longer than a year. Get them for $20 shipped off amazon. One of the best $20 I've ever spent |
incase you decide to pick up the klipsch, rfd posted a good deal: [Elect] Amazon.ca: Klipsch S4 Earphones (Different Models) - $59.99 to $76.70 - RedFlagDeals.com Forums |

Klipsch S4, give about 40 hours of burn in and you have some headphones that compete with other 200-300 headphones and you can get em locally at BB or futureshop. |
^word. I just plug my headphones in and turn on the ipod and leave it playing over night when I got them. Klipsch headphones are legit |
the s4i's bass is nothing to write hm about ... even when plugged into the e10. i'd definitely listen to someone else's before making the jump. they are decent headphones when they are 1/2 off msrp |
Thanks for the responses everyone... decided to go with the Meelectronics SP51. Will let you know what I think of them whenever I get it physically. I had to order it online. |
