Looking to buy Japanese phone
 

I'm looking to buy a Panasonic p900iv. Yes, I know where it's from and yes, I'm fully aware of where it can work and what I have to do to get it to work. But first, I need the phone.

i lived in japan for well over a year. when do you need it by? I usually head back every few months. I just got back a few weeks ago and picked up 3 new ones.... if you can wait, until august, i can pick it up for you..

How different are the prices in Japan?

I'm about to purchase a Sharp SH01D off Craigslist for $550. Would it be cheaper through your route? (I will also compensate you for your good deed).

Not sure about new, cause you probably need someone that lives there to get it for you, but you can get a mint used SH-01D for about $300-$350 CAD, sadly most places won't be able to ship it over with the battery here unless you use certain shippers which cost a quite a bit more.

What difference does it make with battery? Taxable?

Air/EMS can't send lithium batteries or something.
Probably need to find like FedEx/DHL, not too sure.

its actually quite easy to get them, i speak fluent japanese and know a lot of people. When i went last time i just went to BIC camera and bought 3 phones directly from them. I had my alien registration card and just signed up and cancelled. Still way to cheaper.

How much does it generally cost to ship a battery from Japan? Trying to find someone to ship me a ASH29343 for my SH-01D.

Is it natural for a site to indicate which one they're sending you? They showed the one with the dark gray cover, my friend David got it thinking they were sending the one with the dark gray cover. They didn't say which cover. But, they did however, mentioned that it was not coming with additional covers, so they got one right.
