Just look up streams on popular streaming sites. Every year there are always a couple of them.

Pray you don't have to take a shit or piss and especially when everyone is leaving. Some idiots gonna shake up those porta-potties while you're inside.

friend snapped a picture of the lineup at the skytrain going back.. apparently all the entrances were closed and they had to funnel everybody into the smaller walkways

yray 07-28-2012 11:38 PM

^ waterfront station is private property :lawl: so everyone has to go to the only public entrance

cliffhanger33 07-29-2012 02:23 AM

haha it wasnt that bad for me when i got back, lineup at yaletown canada line was rly short, maybe coz we got there rly early

Just park anywhere across any of the 3 bridges. The walk's not that bad!

fliptuner 07-29-2012 12:58 PM

Watch and go leads to frustration. I'd try to find a place to chill, eat and have a drink while the crowds die down.

Chronix 07-29-2012 03:34 PM

^+1, went to a pub after. skytrain crowd clears out around 1230.

fireworks was ok. Not the best. Funny shit happened when this chug stole some white guy's shoes and the white guy confronted him about it and took out his shoe from the chugs bag and slapped him with the shoe. then the cops came in and put the chug in a headlock. lolol.

viet604778 07-29-2012 04:29 PM

^ that sounds pretty epic

Yea saw this too, was sitting pretty close to them

tiger_handheld 07-29-2012 04:59 PM

Anyone see the floating fireworks? I thought they were really impressive.

got to the beach at 5
got home at 11:15 - so out of the core in 45mins
drove there too :)

-lincolnboi- 07-29-2012 05:14 PM

Vietnam, 6/10

Wasn't expecting much anyways :ilied:

BaoTurbo 07-29-2012 07:51 PM

I went in the end. I would say 5/10. Gf wanted to go in the end so we arrived at around 9:30. Parking wasn't too bad and traffic was bearable in many parts of downtown. It was my first time at Sunset Beach so I couldn't get a good spot.

Nevertheless, at least I got a spot lol

sam0m0 07-29-2012 10:10 PM

yep viet 5/10. was pretty boring

Ikkaku 07-29-2012 10:50 PM

watched from spanish banks. the first bit was really quite boring, and they were quite low.

daica-viet 07-30-2012 02:36 PM

i gave it 5/10 is it me or they had breaks in between

Vansterdam 07-30-2012 02:41 PM

i give it a 8/10

did you guys even bother to watch the fireworks with the music they supplied?

i was dead center in front of the barge and could hear the music preety well with the speakers they supplied

i also believe the music played a big role with the fireworks.. otherwise i wouldof prob gave it a 7/10

the beginning was also preety slow and boring

for those of you wondering i believe the radio station to hear the music is 104.3

i think they even chose a song from madagascar and some one direction shit lol

bluejays 07-30-2012 03:01 PM

ended up walking to waterfront station after the fireworks and the line was only like 15 minutes long, definitely worth the extra walk

RRxtar 07-30-2012 04:24 PM

we stayed at the century plaza on across from the wall center. walked down to sunset beach about 7pm. we brought camping chairs and got a perfect spot at the back of the beach against some drift wood dead center. hung out for the evening with the gf on the beach.

i thought the fireworks were decent. worth seeing but not the best i've seen (ive only been to 3 or 4 now). the fireworks were right perfectly synced with the music tho. and altho it wasnt filled with huge sky filling big bangers, the smaller stuff down low and on the water really worked well with the music. it was a good show, but not a mind blowing impressive one.

I was at Spanish Banks too :woot2:

First time there for fireworks as I've only been to English Bay. Definitely a good alternative to DT beaches.

Drow 07-30-2012 05:32 PM
