Buying boxes for moving

Where do you guys get or buy boxes for packing /moving to a new home?

I can only think of staples but want some other options.

thx

budget?

IMASA 06-01-2012 01:27 PM

Home Depot
Crappy Tire
Lowes

I was looking for a queen size mattress bag, found that at U-Haul. They have boxes as well, but more expensive than say, Home Depot.

There's a company called Frogbox that rent out large plastic bins. We used them during our office move and they were pretty convenient.

End up getting boxes from homedepot

Mr.HappySilp 06-03-2012 10:25 AM

If you don't really care how the box look you can try asking some stores (superstore, safeway...) if you can have their boxes that they don't need. Most of time if you are nice they will just give it to you.

I found the boxes from Home Depot the cheapest locally, and they have so many locations. Also bought plastic wrap and a quilted blanket from them.

From UHaul, I bought a sofa cover and some moving pads.

Best place is the bc liqour stores. They have tons and are very good quality since they are used to hold bottles.

Check craigslist as well, I know a number of people that have found box's off ogf their for free since people that have moved no longer need them
