Best cinnamon bun locally

As topic. Looking for the best oozing... cinnamon filled, sugary buns that you can get in the lower mainland. Craving it right now.

I have a ridiculous sweet tooth. I grew up eating the Cinnzeo (formerly Cinnabon) cinnamon buns. They're not as satisfying when they're dry, but when they're fresh and oozing with frosting, I can't resist em (like a woman).
However, if you aren't lazy and want to venture away from the malls give Grounds For Coffee, Cobs, or even Solly's a shot. They have some of the best I've tasted.

Theres a place on 4th, i dont kno the name but its a terrific cinnamon bun. Als are we talking a sticky bun or a cinnamon icing one??

Grounds For Coffee
groundsforcoffee.ca - Grounds For Coffee - Welcome!
2565 Alma St
Vancouver, BC V6R3R8

They bake these things all day. I think this is where many cafes order their cinnamon buns, why not go to the source and get them fresh!?

+1 for Grounds for Coffee. You need not look further. Very godlike cinnamon buns!

murd0c 06-06-2012 06:43 AM

they are actually really easy to make. But nothing beats a hot one from Cinnezeo cause there cream cheese icing is way to fricken good....

SkinnyPupp 06-06-2012 06:55 AM

Mac Donalds used to have these fucking cinnamon buns in a cup that were fucking amazing... I don't know if they ever had them in Canada, but you could feel your spleen aching from all the insulin it has to pump out to deal with that sugar :fuckthatshit:

I somewhat like the cinnamon buns from ikea (the freshly baked one, not packaged)

The Laughing Bean in East Van makes pretty good cinnamon buns daily.

Do they make them or get them from somewhere else?
Their sign seems to be the same as the ones outside of Grounds, so I always just assumed they bought them from grounds.

Hmmm...maybe.

I saw them making them from scratch in-store but this was almost 6 years ago since I've been back. The owners were pretty proud of what they were doing and didn't seem like the type to outsource.
