S2000 Push start with compustar

has anyone tried doing this? having a Honda S2000 Push start button and compustar in a DC5? thinking about it but wouldnt that mean someone can just break my window and start the car with the button because the immobbilizer has been bypassed?

vehicle needs to be in reservation mode in order for it to work. i believe they are set up so that the push start button is bypassed while in reservation mode while the vehicle is locked. regardless, if installed properly w/ anti-theft: if they vehicle is running and the ebrake is put down or brake pedal is pushed the vehicle shuts off.

s2000 still needs key to turn on ignition. So your DC5 would be the same and would not effect how the compustar goes into reservation mode. I've done this many times.

But I'd be using a regular button and wiring it up. I'm not buying this

I haven't really decided on what i want to do yet. Would it be the same?

Yes, it would be the same if wired up properly.
With the key in the on position, you can draw power for the start button to complete the circuit to the starter.

As long as there is no key in the on position, there is no power to the ecu and thus the car will not run.
