I believe if MG is able to find a good playmaking centre and put Kesler on the wing, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 35-40 goals a season.

I really think he needs time to recover from all the surgeries.

Look at Raymond this season and last season.

I think a good centre who could play with kesler would be riberio even though I hate how greasy he is the guy can dish pucks with the best of them. He is setting up Ovechkin in Washington and I think he is in his last year of his contract I wonder what it would take for us to get him? I'm assuming they need goaltending but don't know if they are interested anymore with Lou.

haha yeah I know I remember that garbage! I remember I hated how Lapierre got traded to us when we first got him due to the fact he yapped so much and couldn't back it up. But now love the guy and he's a perfect role player for us. With Ribeiro he could turn out the same if he helped us win...But knowing Gillis he will probably trade for some small mediocre centre cause honestly what can we trade for a decent centre? I guess one of the goalies but realistically we have no trading chips...

Kesler cant play two way on wing and Kesler cant score 40 goals again playing center unless hes on wing. Take your pick.

This is the exact reason I hate Ribero.

It's one thing to dive but to fake it like you're having a heart attack, that's not cool. People have died playing this game like that and it's a serious concern to EVERYONE on the ice, not just the guys on your team, if you're in danger of dying.

^ Not really, it makes sense. Schneider and Luongo were both going to play no matter what in these 2 back to back games. Luongo's numbers against Wild are great at home so why not play him while he's in the groove with 3 straight games and start Schneider tomorrow and see what he can do then.

Wouldn't Kesler's stall be emptied too since he's injured for a long time too?

Maybe Booth goes LTIR? and get some cap relief like the Salo thing that year? maybe a TRADE IS COMING???? lol I can only dream

kesler i think is on target to be back by the final week of regular season. booth looks like he will be done for the year thats why his stall is cleared out and not kesler. he will probably be put on LTIR and free up 4+ mil in cap space that gillis can take on by trades (not involving booth).

thats my guess anyway.

Hey, we literally got as close to winning a cup as we could without actually winning it. Game 7 of the SCF is nothing to scoff at. He brought in:

Hamhuis
Kassian
Garrison
Higgins
Lapierre
Ehrhoff
Torres
Malhotra
Ballard
Tanev
Booth
Etc

Aside from Booth and Ballard, I think he's done a pretty good job. Has also resigned most of our core guys for extremely reasonable prices.

Our drafting has also improved imo, first rounders like:

Gaunce
Schroeder
Jensen
