Congrats on the new car. I saw a white frs/brz awhile ago... They look like really fun cars.

muteki 06-21-2012 11:28 PM

Thanks! It's definitely fun. :3 Haven't seen another other BRZ around yet though, all FR-S. :alone:

EvoLove 06-21-2012 11:41 PM

i think imma hope for the brz sti ^.^

belaud 06-22-2012 12:15 AM

Grats on the purchase, I couldn't fathom the BRZ as it didn't suit my wants, and definitely none of my needs, but a great car nonetheless.

Enjoy!

muteki 06-22-2012 12:21 AM

Thanks! I just wanted another small coupe to play with before I have to settle for a .... sedan in a few years. :okay: 4 doors can come later. :)

!Shuya80 06-22-2012 12:23 AM

congrats! i shall help u break in your car =)

muteki 06-22-2012 12:29 AM

^ That you can, just don't break the car. =p

Sky_High 06-22-2012 04:41 AM

Congrats1

Just curious...they are selling it at fixed price right?
No discount..and no mark up right?

muteki 06-22-2012 08:13 AM

Thanks! But yes, it's a fixed price, no discount (other than Grad) or mark up. People on another forum have been complaining about some Globali fee, I'm not even sure what that is though, since I didn't get any weird fees.

belaud 06-22-2012 06:31 PM

Toyota tends to do that with any popular choice they have, dealers marked up the prius' when they hit an all time selling point.

EvoFire 06-22-2012 11:45 PM

Looking to get one 2 or 3 years down the road. Hoping for a power bump. Even if they don't do a turbo/sc, hoping maybe a small bump to like 220-230.

muteki 06-23-2012 04:42 PM

Heard there's already a SC adds like 50hp or something.

just curious, ive read this thread on ft86club forums regarding idle issues.. Does your idle ever dip down near stalling when coming to a stop or just reving it in neutral?

IMG_1306.MOV - YouTube

If yours does, it could possibly be a bad camshaft sensor and oil valves.

Anyone but!

If you live in Richmond and want to go somewhere close, go to Don Docksteader. If you don't mind being far, call up Anthony's in Kelowna

Got it in AT, but I've seen that thread on FT86Club already. o_o How sure what to make of it and the other issues a few owners have been having with the flooded lights.

Stay far, far away from Richmond Suburu, tons of people who put money down have been told different things, one sales guy is even telling people with deposits to get try their luck at Scion instead, while a certain manager told me that they wanted $2k non-refundable deposit, while he can't give me any ETA on delivery other than from 3-4 months to over a year...

Anthony's is a good choice (looking at 3-5 months?), but I like Hilltop where I got mine, however they're not getting anymore in for the year since 5 pre-orders came in after I bought mine. Everything else local is looking at next year unless someone backs out though.

Sky_High 06-27-2012 08:39 AM

:ahwow:

Richmond Subaru's still fucking people over after what they did to the STI?

But then again....why am I not surprised.

Yea, it happened to a couple of guys with AT as well but mostly manual. When i test drove the FRS during the test drive event, i noticed the idle dip during my 3rd lap. Didnt really think it was a big deal until i read that thread. Yea, if u have flooded lights, go back to subaru and complain. they should give you a free pair.

muteki 06-27-2012 10:28 AM

Hmm.. I haven't noticed anything, but I'll pay more attention to it. =X No issues with the lights as far as I know. =D

WuSaa 06-27-2012 03:20 PM

sigh...
i just email all the subaru dealers from langley to vernon's
hope i will get the car soon :okay:

KO7 07-15-2012 07:33 AM

I have a deposit down for a SWP Sport-Tech in 6AT at Don Docksteader, but it was pretty late, so I might not even see it this year. I really don't want to "settle" for an FR-S' spartan features, and that's not even considering my preference for Subaru over Scion.

Really wish they produced atleast as many BRZs as they do FR-Ss, it's not like it's the difference between a GT86 or a BRZ in other parts of the world, the FR-S is so barebones compared to a what you get for a few grand more for a BRZ. :okay:

I could get an FR-S, do the rebadging to Toyota badges and still have the inferior interior, no SAT, HIDs, heated leather/alcantara seats, dual zone auto climate control, no push button start or smart key.

JordanLawrence 05-30-2014 11:10 AM

Cant wait to get my BRZ!
