Best Peking Duck in the City?

Just curious where you guys have gone and tried and what you think of the local places for duck.

Koon Lok has always been my staple, but I'm sure there is better out there.

And thoughts and feedback?

I love Peking duck as well. Eagerly waiting for responses to this thread.

Koon Bo on Fraser/41st.

^ +1

I second Koon Bo on Fraser and 41st. Not the cleanest restaurant though...

willystyle 11-14-2013 06:17 PM

Any other? Koon Bo is clear winner?

I can say where NOT to go..

South Ocean on Garden City.
They keep their lettuce in the dining room next to the dirty dishes/garbage. When questioned about this practice the rude waiter said it "improves efficiency."

I prefer Sun Sui Wah or Shanghai River..

make your own
much cheaper and pretty close to the real thing

willystyle 11-14-2013 08:20 PM

^ I'm not gonna blow a duck. Literally.

Man Ri Sung serves "Korean" style" peking duck where the skin is served with the meat instead of being cooked several ways.

v_tec 11-14-2013 09:51 PM

How much does it usually cost locally for the whole dish?

willystyle 11-14-2013 09:58 PM

^ around $35-$45 for 2-3 courses.

bing sheng at 1st ave and renfrew. upstairs in the t&t complex

bcrdukes 11-15-2013 11:49 PM

Do you mean Fortune City? Because that's the one Chinese restaurant there that's upstairs at the very top of the T&T complex (not to be confused with Venice Garden.)

Bing Sheng is on the street level on the south east corner of Renfrew and E. 2nd ave.
