will my unlocked 9700 work on wind?

my blackberry 9700 was originally on telus then i got it unlocked to work with my actual provider (fido). now my contract is near ending i feel that wind would give me a better plan for a cheaper price. could i keep the phone and use it on wind? or would i have to buy a phone from wind itself? i heard that something was different with frequencies, any help would be great. thanks!

No. You need a new phone.

Different frequencies I believe.

And why are you going from good - ok - bad coverage in all your provider switches lol

It will work on Wind but you will be paying roaming charges.

No you cannot use your Blackberry 9700 device from TELUS on Wind Mobile. TELUS uses a different frequency than the newer Wind does. If you unlock it, it will still not work.

:suspicious:

It won't even pick up the provider so forget paying roaming charges, it will simply not work.

Different frequencies. Wind runs on AWS. Will not work.

I have a wind 9900 for sale if you're interested op.

I'm aware that Wind is using AWS but when you put a Wind sim into a Telus berry it will connect to Rogers GSM network so you will be roaming. Same as when you put the Wind sim in an iPhone. It will work but you will be roaming all the time.
