Recommend Me A Headset - Sub $70 Bucks Hey all, i was hoping someone can recommend me a headset. im kinda new to pc gaming and am not looking to spend much, But i find it hard to figure out which one will work for sure. Bluetooth, wired? I have been eying this NoiseHush N700m but then i compare it to the likes of say http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Force-PX21-Gaming-Headset-Pc/dp/B002BU0DPE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1342120604&sr=8-5&keywords=turtle+beach and well i feel like maybe i should just spend a bit more, as you can see i have been given descions that i simply cannot make on my own! lol. I am however interested in your take on headsets or which ones you use. Most of the affordable ones out their seem to be made of rather cheap materials, is their a premium options? |
Steelseries Siberia V2 Headset Headphones 18-28000HZ 40OHM 9FT Cable W/ Microphone -WHITE - Steelseries - 51100 I have been using thes for about 2years now. Gives decent sound, and is pretty comfy. Not to mention it cancels noise pretty well. |
I have also been using the Siberia V2 for about a year and a half now. But with the USB soundcard version. I would recommend it for that price. Sounds great, very comfortable, and the retractable headphone looks and works great. |
i need a good comfy headset.. i wear glasses, so the cheap stuff hurts behind my ears after a bit because of the arms on the glasses.. |
+1 to icemat siberias been using mine for a good 4 years now if you buy cheaper headphones they tend to break down alot quicker and then you need to get new ones =\ |
Not sure if you mind behind the ear, but I found the Logitech G330 headset to be quite comfortable (I also wear glasses) even when worn for hours. I think I paid around $40 with my staff discount? So they should be around $60 I think. |
Sennheiser stuff is the bomb. I have the PC350 - older model, so you can get it for cheap, and I wear it for marathon BF3 sessions. Amazing sound, terrific clear mic. Otherwise, the PC151 or 161 should be able to be found for cheap. |
corsair HS1a with 7.1 simulated sound.... fucking love them got em on sale for $40... |
i dont know much about these things but ncix has some extreme deal today? Steelseries Spectrum 4XB Gaming Headset for XBox 360 - Steelseries - 61260 |
Corsair hs1 or hs1a, extremely good quality headset for a super cheap price. I had the steelseries 7h and that was alright, but a bit pricey. Earlier this year the sennheiser pc350 was on sale for 110$, so I saved a heap on those. But I had to fork out another 50$ for a decent sound card with a headphone amp. Still a win! |
Just picked up the Corsair Vengeance Headset at Memoryexpress. The cushions are very comfy. Was watching a movie and halfway through I was thinking if I was wearing them... At first, it was a bit heavy then what I was used to but it quickly went away. I wear glasses, so comfort had to be a big part, since these are cloth cushion, it was very comfy. The wires were nice too, not the cheap rubber ones. it was priced at $99 at ME but I got it priced matched with NCIX prices plus 25% of the difference which come out to me $70.44 after taxes plus I have a $10 mail-in rebate from Corsair (in the form of Visa card) so Im very happy with this. It was a toss up between this and the Creative Tactic 3D Sigma. The Vengeance looked better to me so I opted for this. I plugged these into my computer and windows7 recognized no problem but sound wasnt good. Went to Corsairs website and downloaded the software for it and it sounds pretty amazing now. This is the HS1 replacement, so if your friends say the HS1 was good, you should check these out... http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4...500headset.jpghttp://img594.imageshack.us/img594/3687/controly.jpg http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/44/turnableear.jpghttp://img854.imageshack.us/img854/4480/wirep.jpg |
I was looking at the corsair vengeance 1500 too, really well designed aesthetically as well as comfort wise. Sound quality is great too! |
