Every meet I wonder "Is this going to be there one where a fight breaks out? Is this the one where someone tries to drive down the parking lot lanes and hits a car/baby/visible minority? Is the the one where cars get broken into?"
Every meet, near the end, is when I realized that we had nothing to worry about.
Since the first n00b meet back at that tiny parking lot in Richmond at Tim Horton's bcrdukes and I have noticed how these meets have brought all sorts of members who don't need to be "seen" but just want to be social. People who want to come out, meet people, put faces to usernames, to check out each others cars.
Not to take the fire out of the big meets, but I think the low key meets get those members who are on the fence about meets in general out and help scratch people's social itch.
Well, its time to take the next step folks.
As I mentioned this evening, this will be the last n00b meet for a while. The next car meet will be the Summer Meet. This is the big one.
While it'll be intimidating for some, just think of it as the n00b meet on steroids.
Following the summer meet we've discussed holding continuing meets at Market Crossing until the weather gets too cold to keep doing it. Nothing is set in stone yet, but stay tuned.
That being said, when we DO continue those meets we want to hear how we can make them better. We've already been told that we need to add new award categories which is something we're going to start implementing ASAP. We also got some strong feedback from the nametag thing so expect that to reappear. And based on the apprehensions some members have had, we may approach the information collection in a different way.

Amuro Ray to say goodbye, because this was his last n00b meet ever. His loan was approved, and hes finally going to open that nudie bar in Thailand just like hes always been talking about.
